WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Washington State UU Voices for Justice has only been in existence for a year now, so we are still developing ways for community involvement. Here are a few of them.

GET OUR NEWSLETTER:

The first thing that you can do is to sign up for a newsletter that will be published weekly through out the legislative session.  It will list the different issues that we have selected to track throughout this coming year and link you to action alerts. Sign up here >>

BECOME A LEGISLATIVE TRACKER:

You may have an interest in a particular issue that you already track either on your own through out the legislature or by being informed via an organization whose focus is primarily that issue. Sign up to become a tracker here >>

Or you may like to learn to track an issue and follow it. Learn about being a legislative tracker here >>

BECOME A CONGREGATIONAL CONTACT:

Can you see the value of linking your congregation to become involved in the efforts of Washington State UU Voices?  Would you like to be that link for your congregation? Sign up here >>

Or you may want to encourage your social justice committee or minister to recommend one or several congregational contacts to our steering committee. Or you might have someone you might recommend. Learn about being a Congressional Contact here >>

BECOME A CONGREGATIONAL EVENTS MANAGER:

Sign up to publish on the web your congregations events that are UU Voices related.  Be trained by UU Voices Webmaster to input into our events communication tool-Democracy in Action.  This volunteer position does not demand alot of time and is sort of fun. Learn something new!

BUILD COMMUNITY:

UUs in Washington State are connected by our values, and roughly through our organizational structure: the ministerial intercongregational connections; Annual General Meetings; Religious Education; and national and regional UU organizations; etc.  As we move to create deeper understanding of how our spiritual values can intersect with our public life, we will want to create community and processes that will help us toward these goals.

USE OUR RESOURCES AND PHOTO GALLERY:

Promote your issues and   help UU Voices too with the UU Voices materials-

  • photos,
  • brochures,
  • sermons, etc.

Make sure to send us your photos, sermons, articles etc.too!
