Clean Air Rule

Following the defeat of the Carbon Pollution Accountability Act, Gov. Inslee directed Ecology to make new rules to reduce air pollution in the State. Scheduled to be adopted to be adopted next summer, the draft rule will be unveiled in December with hearings held at the beginning of the year. It appears to be a market approach not much different from the Act he introduced in the last session but without plans to address inequity.

At 2:30 minutes in the video below, Endicott Dandy and analyst and lobbyist with One America discusses the Governors Clean Air Rule and the rulemaking process. She also lists some changes that One America is lobbying for.

Below that is an hourlong webinar from the Department of Ecology if you want to thoroughly understand what is known at this point about the proposed Rule. You can flip through The Department of Ecology webinar slide show
