Coal export, oil trains, and the toxic byproducts of fossil fuels threaten many tribal lands across the Americas. The Lummi Nation House of Tears carvers are creating a totem pole to raise up the voice of all threatened by fossil fuel transportation.

GA Calls Us To Bring Prophetic Witness To DC July 31-Aug 2

On June 29th, delegates at the UU General Assembly 2014 passed an Action of Immediate Witness (AIW) calling on UUs to join national faith leaders and immigrant rights advocates from across the nation on July 31st to August 2nd to call on the White House to stop the deportations of immigrants and end the unjust laws tearing apart families, communities and congregations.

"We always know BUF has our back": two days with Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship and their social justice partners

This spring I invited myself to follow the social justice teams at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship to learn more about their innovative and exciting social justice ministry. What I found was a vibrant mix of longterm partnerships with communities of resistance and traditional charity and advocacy for basic changes in government. D D and John Hilke of the Northwest UU Justice Network were my companions for this journey.
