The bulk of our time will consist of strategies for lobbying by congregations and individuals during the remainder of the session, as well as setting the groundwork for support for getting better acquainted with your legislators during the period between sessions. For all of this the Voices Board and Staff need your thoughts and guidance.

10am - Chalice lighting and opening words

10:05 - Quick introductions (Name of congregation, location, top three social justice projects)

10:10 - Inspiration: It's all about relationship - Kelly Thompson, Olympia UUC and volunteer lobbyist

10:15 - Summary of where we are in the legislative process and what lies ahead - Jolinda Stephens, Kelly Thompson and Bill McPherson

10:30 - Questions

10:40 - Discussion of process and issues with ideas recorded

10:50 - Brainstorming of lobby actions

11:00 - Creating a lobby plan for the session and for after the session

11:20 - Creating list of what we need to implement our plan

11:25 - Commitments and farewells

There will be no formal voting. This is a planning session. This is not a members-only event that our bylaws mandate membership to vote. We are always happy for your contributions. They make it possible for us to expand the tools that support your lobbying and spend more time talking with our legislators. Contributions will not be asked for at this conference.
